Recording Live
Incredible. I stood at my door step with a backpack, a mic stand and tiny amplifier in my right hand and my guitar in my left — and I was a fully mobile, except-for-the-sound-engineer professional recording studio.
Speaking of engineers, one probably wouldn’t have “paused” the recording after the first set, only to overwrite the first set with the second set. Or forgotten to record the third set entirely. But the second set has a few little gems.
So I’m now I’m trying to work out how to wrangle the live performance into shape for the Web, which is not as easy as it sounds (not being a sound engineer, and all). (check out the live cut of “Bad Dream -> Five to One” from Nana’s Soup House, Feb. 16, 2008)
