Neil Young's "Living With War"
There’s something to be said for being old and cantankerous.
Neil Young official Web site released a diatribe against the war in Iraq, and though I know he isn’t the only one who has been writing and singing with this type of voice — he is definitely the highest profile and this album is the most strident I’ve heard.
He sings, “Let’s impeach the President for lying” and goes on to say, “Let’s impeach the President for spying.” It’s heady stuff, and the rest of the album is equally forceful. It works, some are saying, as well as any album he’s created.
