If you require scheduling or other more advanced options, use a more robust mailing list manager. Here are some possibilities:
- Swiftmailer (I’m interested in using this as the mailing engine for Postmaster
- PoMMo
- Dada Mail (I’ve used this one, and was always pleased with it — they are working on adding more information than simply a subscriber’s email address)
- PHPlist (this one has an “integrated with TXP” tip on www.textpattern.org)
- PHPmailer
- Yahoo Groups (This is really simple)
- Coollist
