TABLE OF CONTENTS › Feature Requests

Here is the list of feature requests. Please feel free to add requests using the comment form at the bottom of the page (requests made in the support forum thread may be transferred over here).

NOTE: The only way to guarantee that one of the following items is implemented is to do it yourself … in other words, this is a place to collect ideas, but being present on this list doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to get done.
RequestEstimated DifficultyNotes
Search results results Basic

When searching the subscriber lists, it would be cool if we had the number of the returned results ‘printed’ so that we can easily establish how many recipients belong to each list.

Edit Fields Recognize "Enter/Return" Key Basic

I found that the fields in the “Add a Subscriber” page do not recognise the enter/return key to post/save the entry but instead they change the line, like in a word processor.

Duplicate "From" and "Reply-To" Emails Basic

If the From and Reply-To are the same the Reply-To field could/should be left out

Export single list Basic

Instead of having an export all function only, allow the user to export particular lists.

Choose input type Intermediate

Set a preference for either <input type="text"> or <textarea></textarea> in your subscriber fields.

unsubscribe from list (not global) Intermediate

only unsubscribe the subscriber from the list to which the e-mail —where he clicked the unsubscribe link— belongs

global unsubscribe link Intermediate

so you can set one unsubscribe link for all lists.

Double opt-in Intermediate

Off the top of my head, seems easy to implement.

Multi-edit Intermediate

Multi-edit on the Subscriber and List pages

Mail Engine Option Intermediate

There are other mailing engines like Swiftmailer that are more robust than Postmailer. The idea here would be you could upload Swiftmailer (or whatever one has the features you need) and Postmaster would do all it does, and be the interface with Swiftmailer (or whatever).

Attachments Intermediate

This doesn’t actually seem that difficult, but would be time consuming to get right. There are other mailing engines that can do this, like Swiftmailer

Scheduling Advanced

Cron job or some other method, all unknown to me.
