In his 'Advice to the Young Poet,' William Carlos Williams says, 'All our efforts as writers and as men must be to release the enchained dragon within us.' I have found this inspiring throughout the course of my life. I nod to the saying in my song, 'Poised to Soar' -- you can find lyrics and more on http://www.benbruce.com, the official site for acoustic rock by singer and songwriter Ben Bruce.

New Demo: Bwa-Oh

(Posted to Blog by Ben May 31, 10:16 PM)
We're all born with our own mountains to climb

This is a fairly new song — I’ve played it out a few times and have been singing it at home for a few months now. I sat down to record a different song, but then I’m not sure what happened and this is the one that got done tonight.

I’ve added it to the “short list of songs for my next album.” I’m considering a few ideas — one idea I had was setting the demos to downloadable, and letting folks “vote” on songs by which ones they download from me, and when the album version is released your demo gets you the album version of the song. What do you think?
